Installation

REITrack is coming to Google Play. Until it is listed, the app is distributed directly — ask us for a build.

Two variants are published for each release:

  • gms uses Google Play Services for location (FusedLocationProvider) and Mapbox for maps, search and directions. This is the more accurate build on a phone that has Play Services.
  • noGms uses Android's native LocationManager and OpenFreeMap tiles, with no Google Play Services dependency — the option for LineageOS, CalyxOS or any ROM without Google services.

GrapheneOS users: the gms variant works with sandboxed Google Play. GrapheneOS reroutes location requests to its own reimplementation of the Play geolocation service, so you get the accuracy benefit without sending location data to Google. The noGms variant also works unchanged.

Installing a direct build​

  1. Open the APK you were sent
  2. Enable Install from Unknown Sources if Android asks
  3. Install it — an update installs over the existing app and keeps your data
